CALPE 2027

Three very different rides. Classic Costa Blanca roads, proper climbing, and enough coffee to justify the flights.

Day 01

Vall d’Ebo & Calpe

A Grand Soft Day for Ebo
Ride brief

A long, rolling opener with the main work concentrated around Vall d’Ebo. The objective is to settle the group, ride smoothly and arrive back with enough left for the two bigger mountain days.

RWB note

Do not confuse 118 km with an invitation to race the first hour. Keep it controlled, fuel early and use the coast home to ride as a group.

Coll de Rates & Castell de Castells

The Only Rates We Want Rising
Ride brief

The classic Costa Blanca climbing day. Vall de Pop roads lead into Coll de Rates before the route continues through Castell de Castells and the quieter inland network.

RWB note

Summit regroup means summit regroup. Nobody has ever been signed by a WorldTour team for winning the first hairpin.

Day 03

Guadalest & Puerto de Confrides

The Confrides Agreement
Ride brief

The queen stage: coast first, then the big inland move through Guadalest and Puerto de Confrides before the high roads towards Castell de Castells and the long run back.

RWB note

Eat before you are hungry and drink before you are thirsty. This is not the day to discover at 110 km that breakfast was a croissant and optimism.
